Last year, Lupe Fiasco and Sky Gellatly decided to join DJ forces and put out an EP of remixes under the name the Soundclash. The EP is called Don’t Drop the Flag, and a huge part of its original intent was to donate all of the proceeds from its sales to a children’s charity. It wasn’t just a bare PR ploy, either, as both have genuinely vocalized how critical it is for entertainers to demonstrate to kids how cool it can be to give back, in hopes that budding artists’ rock star fantasies will include daydreaming about all the people they could help from that position. The Florida Music Festival & Conference is celebrating more than a decade of introducing top music industry innovators to aspiring music business students, the regional industry, and independent musicians with the most diverse collection yet! From April 17-20, 2013 check out artists on 15 different stages and clubs around Downtown Orlando, bringing to you rock, country, pop, hip-hop and more.

Tonight, Wednesday April 17, is the Annual Artist Appreciation Party and it is happening at 8p at Tanqueray’s. Complimentary drinks will be available.

Then Thursday April 18 will be the kick off to the Festival, with a celebration of EDM on the Wall Street main stage with DJ Lupe Fiasco and DJ Sky Gellatly.

It was a great to see our favorite Dj's Dave London and Dj ToolTime tearing up the dacenfloor at Suite B Lounge Saturday (5/19). It was also a surprise to see Suite B Lounge so packed earlier than usual.

Dj ToolTime started off the night right with a great mix of new school and old school breaks, and Dave London finished out the night with some great breaks of his own, as well as some Dave London originals.

Tooltime has been blazing the scene lately. He opened for Dj Icey in Sarasota recently, and you can catch him at  his monthly residency gig at Vixen in Downtown Orlando. We're going to be keeping our eye on Dj ToolTime. His newest sets have been very impressive.
